Basket Range - Adelaide Hills
Taking a punt back in 2009 when only one single Grenache was produced by Ochota Barrels, The Fugazi Vineyard Grenache, I deemed Taras & Amber to be a big leaders in the Australian wine industry.
Taras, Amber & even Sage, keep me inspired about what I deem to be 'artisan' on the portfolio. Their humble, uncomplicated way of life, shows the greatest satisfaction of true wines....true to terroir, yes, but mainly, true to themselves.
LOLA's PERGOLA - THE ADELAIDE FESTIVAL 2014
Wines still remaining from the cracker vintage of 2013 for Ochota Barrels will be available at Lola's Pergola, The Adelaide Festival Club from 28th February through till 16th March...or until sold out of course...so get in quick. Along with this, a limited release, once in a lifetime wine. A collaboration between Taras Ochota & Maynard James Keenan (Tool/Puscifer/Perfect Circle). Both rockstars in the own manner, will be releasing their wine 'A Sense of Compression'.
So a local South Australian winemaker and a world-wide legendary rockstar came together to produce wine in our own backyard. Why you ask...well it's simple, we have the resources and we have the platform to be making much more than just what we see...it's more what we believe.
919 bottles were produced, half of which Maynard will take for his personal collection in the USA, half of which remains for you to indulge in Australia.
